07/01/21 - RIP Fred Sterry - A message from Kevin Jane.
It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of the EPA treasurer Fred Sterry yesterday.
Fred had held this position since the inception of the EPA and along with other roles within British Powerlifting he worked tirelessly and professionally devoting many hours to the sport, organising international teams, officiating and laboriously producing the necessary paperwork for national competitions.
I personally and thankfully have many fond memories of travelling abroad with Fred and attending meetings with him and lengthy chats about Powerlifting over a number of years.
Fred will be a difficult act to follow, and remain a great loss to Powerlifting. At this time our thoughts are with his family. R.I.P.
